Even when I am not presenting a great product on HSN I try to do  some “great” things.  Maybe I am preparing for a new item, have a print modeling job, or I am hanging out with my great adult kids! But this week I am going to finish up Michael Hyatt’s new book called PLATFORM . I first began to follow Michael Hyatt after I presented Thomas Nelson publishing products on HSN. A few years ago I presented Veggie Tales products as well as some Christian devotional items. I also did a great book called “Then Sings My Soul” — which really did make my soul sing!  I wish I could have had ongoing products from Thomas Nelson!  I research all my products extensively. As part of my research for Thomas Nelson I began to follow the CEO ‘s blog. That is actually the first time I ever I joined a blog as a part of my research! I have gleaned a lot  from reading Micheal’s posts. Michael was setting a foundation that enabled him to leave his CEO position and be a full time speaker. He mostly speaks about leadership. So when his book PLATFORM launched -I bought it.  His book is full of concrete ways to get and keep your “platform”. Since I just started my WordPress.com site, thanks to my son, and I also have a daughter (Vonabell on FB) with a blooming singing career, this book could not have come at a better time! I am inspired and motivated to build a platform for both of us! So my down time is now up time as I stay up way too late reading his great book.  How about you- what do you do with your down time?
